Welcome To Port of Nagoya Public Aquarium-Nagoya Japan.
Hey Dude,Enjoy dynamic dolphin shows at the world's largest outdoor tank

Port of Nagoya Public Aquarium opened in the Port of Nagoya Garden Pier in October 1992.

Port of Nagoya Public Aquarium consists of two facilities, each with their own theme. One of them is the North Building, which contains one of the largest outdoor tanks in the world. The Main Pool is 60 meters high, 30 meters wide, and up to 12 meters deep, and is equipped with a stand that can seat up to three thousand people. Here audiences are treated to an absolutely great time watching dolphin performances. The shows are also displayed on a large high vision screen, making it easy to see the details.

In addition to the stand for watching dolphin shows, the North Building also has a second floor with side views of the dolphins and killer whales and a third floor with chances to touch dolphins on a first come first served basis. You can also see dolphins training and being fed.

The other building is the South Building, which takes visitors on a voyage through the waters sailed by the Antarctic research vessel, "Fuji". Fuji is an ice-crushing ship that was active for 18 years from 1965.

It has been anchored in the Port of Nagoya since 1985, and is now on display in its original condition as a museum of the Antarctic. In the South Building, visitors start off in the waters of Japan, journey through the realm of the deep seas where strange creatures live, pass through the equatorial seas with their colorful fish, and are treated to the sight of sea turtles, which have been successfully spawned in captivity, and penguins living comfortably in a habitat recreating the Antarctic environment. It is a journey that displays an incredible variety of sea life.

A check-out voice guide service using iPod technology is also available. Guidance is available in Japanese as well as English, Chinese (Mandarin), and Korean regarding 21 spots within the building. Combo-tickets that also allow entrance into the nearby Nagoya Marine Museum, the Antarctic Research Vessel "Fuji," and the observation deck (top floor of the Port Building at the Port of Nagoya) are also available, so be sure to thoroughly enjoy all the wonders that the Port of Nagoya has to offer.
